I love cooking and I enjoy spending a lot of time in the kitchen. but I decided to write this cooking book for a lot of young ladies I know. They work hard, they raise children , move in new houses, go to school and have a lot on their agenda , they dont have much time to spend in their kitchen. I thought ,may be I could try to help them a bit and put some very easy recipes together. and give a few tips

linguine with white clam sauce
Keep some clams cans and linguine in your pantry and a few other things in your refrigerator and in no time you will have a delicious little meal
this recipe photo show some frozen clams in their shelves the recipe is for can clams
Ingredients
2 cans chopped clams
1lb linguine or angel hairs or spaghetti.
2 tbls butter
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic or garlic powder
1 pinch crushed red pepper(optional)
zest and juice of one lemon
white wine
fresh parsley( optional)
1/2 tsp of dry oregano
Preparation
Cook your pasta in boiling water like the package direct you cook your pasta al dente.
In a pan add the butter and the olive oil cook on medium heat
Add the crushed red pepper and garlic cook about one minute
Add lemon zest and juice the oregano and the wine and the clam juice .
Bring to a boil cook till thickened about 10 minutes
Add the clams stir till the clams are warm
Serve on the cook pasta
I have made that recipe many time with fresh clams but this is very good too.
When you buy clams cans, make sure it is chopped clams not shredded clams
